The Caltanissetta Cathedral is the main religious building in the Sicilian city of Caltanissetta. The fully-titled Cattedrale di Santa Maria La Nova was built between the 16th and 17th centuries.
Fully completed in 1622, the Cathedral which is situated on Piazza Garibaldi is famous for its dramatic Baroque interior and frescoed vault by the 18th century Flemish painter Guglielmo Borremans. |
