This collection of man made landmarks of Sicily brings together two famous castles as well as an important religious site.
Fans of the Inspector Montalbano TV series will perhaps recognise Donnafugata Castle as it's a regular feature on the show and has also appeared in a number of other TV series and films. Another castle of great interest is the Castello Manfredonico in the little town of Mussomeli. Although they're both fortresses, the two castles could hardly be more different with Donnafugata more aesthetically pleasing than the defensive Castello Manfredonico. |
