Also known as Vincenzo Bellini Airport or Catania Fontanarossa, Catania Airport is Sicily's busiest airport, handling around ten million passengers every year.
Located just six kilometres from the city of Catania, it deals mainly with destinations in Western and Eastern Europe including London (Gatwick and Luton), Manchester, Paris, Moscow and Ukraine. |

The airport is popular with travellers to Sicilian mainland destinations such as Taormina which is roughly an hour north up the coast, or south to Syracuse (Siracusa) which is 40 minutes away.
Transfers by taxi to Catania itself take around 20 minutes while there are also bus services available to the city centre and to the city's main train station, Stazione Centrale (37 minutes).
