Specchio di Venere Pantelleria

The Specchio di Venere is the most magnificent and iconic sight on the remote island of Pantelleria in Sicily. Translating into English as the Mirror of Venus, it's a shallow lake with natural hot springs where the water temperature varies from 40° to 50° Celsius.
It's possible to explore the hills around the lake either on foot or by car and this is also an important spot for ornithology. |
