The Mediterranean Coast of Sicily stretches from Capo Passero in the island region's south-eastern corner, to the Aegadian Islands off the coast of Trapani to the west.
Around 285 kilometres of coastline can be found in this part of Sicily, facing south-west across the Mediterranean to Africa with the Sicilian Pelagie Islands, the Sicilian island of Pantelleria and the island of Malta in between. Ferries cross the Mediterranean from Porto Empedocle to Lampedusa and from Mazara del Vallo to the Aegadian Islands. |
